tile works that are too old and too precious to tear out or leave behind.
What do you do when you have to tear out a wall, or rebuild an area that
has this sort of tile work installed?
For example, there
are times when you want to keep an aspect of an older home, but
as in the case of this old fireplace on this page, it is just
not well suited to today's world.
Here we took this inefficient
old fireplace with the beautiful tile flooring and mantelpiece,
and fitted it for a much more economical wood burning stove and
were able to keep the look, feel and function of the original.
